As his love for Christ grew, his desire for his peers’ growth in Christ intensified. Consequently, he found himself working closely with the Youth Department assisting and encouraging others in their walk with Christ. As time passed, God spoke to him concerning the call He had placed upon his life. Sensing a need for direction in bringing his ministry to fruition, he attended the National Bible College in Fort Washington, MD where he graduated as an Associate in Theology.

Elder Burrell is Holy Ghost filled. He has a special gift in the ministry of teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth. He also has rapport with people many years his senior and he has a hunger for the souls of all mankind. He presently serves as the Assistant Pastor teaching the importance of fearing God and living holy. He has traveled the East coast extensively preaching the word of God.

Elder Burrell and his wife Andrea reside in Upper Marlboro, MD.  They have three children — Danielle, Jeral, and Darrell Lee Jr.

Pastor Darrell & Lady Andrea Burrell

Pastor Darrell L. Burrell received Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 16 and immediately began to do the things of God. He joined the church he had attended since birth — the Northeast Holy Trinity Church. Already active in the Sunday School Department, he became more involved in various church auxiliaries, including choral groups, Youth Department, Outreach Ministry, Deacon Board and the ministry of helps. He was licensed and ordained by the Federation of Holy Trinity Churches, Inc. On February 10, 2002 he was appointed as Assistant Pastor of the Northeast Holy Trinity Church where he served until his resignation in December 2006.
